Bird News Monday 15th November

A Redhead Smew was at LoughBeg Co.Londonderry/

25 Waxwings Moylena Road, Antrim. (D.Hunter)
More Waxwings! 50 were on the Killyleagh Road, Saintfield about 2KM from the town. (Matt Liddle)
Another Waxwing was in Ardoyne Avenue in Belfast
A Merlin was seen in Donegall Street in Belfast City Centre
4 Whooper Swan Murlough Beach, Dundrum Bay and a Redpoll and 2 Tree Sparrow at Dundrum Inner Bay South (Dan Baille). At Dundrum Inner Bay North there were 1021 Golden Plover and 2 Bar-tailed Godwit and a Little Egret were at Ardilea. At Dundrum Inner Bay South there were 5 Little Egret, 10 Snipe and 3 Skylark, 60 Curlew and 107 Lapwing were at Murlough Farm Fields.

Irelands 2nd AMERICAN COOT has been found at Termoncarragh Lake, Belmullet by Dave Suddaby. A Buff Bellied Pipit has also been found today on the Mullet.
