Back to the Future? 21st December

Ok, before you say it, yes - that picture of a Little Grebe is utterly useless. That's Gulllface for you, he couldn't care less. He's pretending to watch birds whilst in reality slapping on the sunscreen and throwing back the vodka's. No doubt he'll return with an imaginary list of birds seen in Tunisia.

Regardless of the lies that Derek will tell on his return, on this day.....
  • 69 – The end of the Year of the four emperors: Following Galba, Otho and Vitellius, Vespasian becomes the fourth Emperor of Rome within a year.
  • 1844 – The Rochdale Pioneers commence business at their cooperative in Rochdale, England, starting the Cooperative movement.
  • 1968 – Apollo program: Apollo 8, the first manned mission to the moon, is launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Happy birthday to Benjamin Disraeli and Jane Fonda

While after searching throught the vaults...in Northern Ireland...on....this ....educational day:
  • 57 Snow Bunting were on Divis Mountain
