My Mate the Micro

Ok, he's not my friend at all really, in fact I've never met him (it's a 'him' because of the antennae . I couldn't tell you anything about micro moths other than there's loads of them, most of them look the same, very few of them have common english names and they're too tiny for my poor aging eyes. I should go to specsavers because I know I'm missing out.

Incurvaria masculella

This one is fairly common throughout most of British Isles and flies during May. The larvae are leaf-miners but move on to dead leaves (especially hawthorn)
