Since we started this blog in late August we have posted a staggering 1588 images. OK 1500 of these have been chickens and moths but never the less its a pretty impressive total. We would like to thank all the photographers again.
Now i knew this moment was coming and i have been putting a lot of thought into what should be the 1589 image. It was a tough decision but ive decided on this one. Coal Tit appears to be one of the hardest hit of all the small bird species in this poor weather with numbers coming to my garden away down to the point they are almost a rarity. Im sure there will be regional variations but it does appear to have taken a battering.
Many thanks to Geoff Campbell for this picture of one of my favourite birds. Check out Geoff's photos at gcampbellphoto.co.uk
