Bird News Monday 17th January

6 Waxwings, Mountsandel Road Coleraine (Richard Hoy)

In Co. Antrim a Brambling was visiting a garden in Lisburn this morning and this afternoon a single Waxwing was on the Stockdam Road, Lisburn (E. Rolston)

4 Waxwings were at a private garden in Carrickfergus

In Co. Down the 3 Goosander (drake and 2 females) are still at Loughislandreavy.

The Ferruginous Duck was at Craigavon North Lake as well as the hybrid male Ferruginous x Pochard hybrid. A Kingfisher was also seen.

Oxford Island had 2 male Ruddy Duck
Enniskillen Tip had a 2nd winter hybrid Glaucous x Herring Gull hybrid
The Snow Goose was near Greyabbey and the 1stw Ring Necked Duck was at Lough Cowey
The adult Ring Billed Gull x Common Gull hybrid was at Millisle. (all sighting C.Baines, C.Hind and T.Reid)

Two Meditterean Gulls an adult and Heather Mills were at Portrush East Strand Car Park
16 Red Throated Divers were at Portmuck near Larne
