In Co. Londonderry a Grey Phalarope was off Portstewart (D. Charles)
An adult Ring-billed Gull and 2 female Brambling were at Donnybrewer
At Magilligan the bizzare sight of a Shelduck flying into the L.Foyle left me speechless
(which wasn't hard as i was on my own!) A Red Throated Diver also flew into the Lough.
At Myroe 4 Greenshank were in the channel as was a Little Egret
Off Culmore Point, Co. Londonderry were 25 Brent Geese and a Scandanavian Herring Gull.
6 Whoopers, 15 Greylags and a Merlin (which was sitting in a tree near the main road) were close to Greysteel
In Co. Antrim the long-staying adult Ring-billed Gull was still at Portrush East Strand car park (no sign of Heather Mills) 30 Sanderling were on the beach
At Corbally Reservoir 5 Scandinavian Herring Gulls, 6 Tufted Duck and a Sparrowhawk were present.
400 Scaup were off Hazelbank, Belfast Lough
At Whithead 19 Bramblings were in total in 2 different gardens and dother birds sin the area included 3 Siskins,3 Lesser Redpolls, 10 Long Tailed Tits a Greenshank and a 1st winter Meditterean Gull. A Liittle Egret was at Ballycarry Bridge nearby
20 Pink Footed Geese were at Ballintoy and 4 Purple Sandpipers were in the harbour
Single Waxwings were at Waterfoot and Ballyvoy (Geoff Campbell)
In Co. Down (the place to be today!) 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers were at an undisclosed site, Downpatrick. 4 Sandwich Tern were at Cloghy and 1 Sandwich Tern and 3 Twite at Killard Pt. (D. Allen et al)
The first winter male Ring Necked Duck was still at Lough Cowey (D.Allen et al)
6 Slavonian Grebes and 3 Pink Footed Geese were at Greyabbey (D.Allen et al)
The 3 Goosander (male and 2 females) were still at Loughislandreavy (A. Crory/ L. Charles)
21 Brent Geese were at the Spring Well, Annalong (H. McComb)
4 Waxwing were on the Castlereagh Rd., Belfast
Female Smew were at both the Qouile River, Downpatrick and Clea Lake, Shrigley
Blackcaps were at both the Qouile Visitors Centre and Bessbrok near Newwry
A Brambling and 2 Siskin were at the RSPB Reserve
Finally in Co.Down a 2nd winter Meditterrean Gull was at Ballyholme Bay, Bangor.
In Co. Armagh 4 Ruddy Duck were off the Kinnegoe Hide, Oxford Island.
The male Ferruginous duck was also off the Kinnegoe Hide today (M. Killops)
In Co. Fermanagh a Brambling was visiting a private garden at Magheraveely
In Co.Tyrone 2 Croossbill were at Slieve Beagh
In Co. Donegal
An adult Iceland Gull was at Greencastle...scoped from Magilligan Pt. on the Northern Ireland side! (D. Charles)
