Bird News Tuesday 11th January

Not much about today - best bird I saw was a Great Tit. Oooooh Fantastic!!

The Snow Goose was still in the Ann's Point area today with large numbers of Greylags and some Whoopers.
The first winter male Ring Necked Duck was still at Lough Cowey and 4 Yellowhammers nearby.(J.Tinman)

The male Ferruginous Duck was back at Craigavon North Lake

A Red Kite was over the A1 at Bangor and an unusual Little Egret at Killard (whats an unusual Little Egret, pray tell!)

30 Wawing and 2 Raven were on the Shankill Road, Belfast
The male Goosander was still at Ballycastle and 3 female or immature Goosander at Cushendun still
The adult Ring Billed Gull continues his winter vacation at Portrush.
Meanwhile the adult Ring Billed x Common Gull hybrid was at Millisle.

The female / immature Smew was near the bridge on the River Qouile and an adult Little Gull near the hide. 2 Carrion Crow and a Greenshank were at Killyleagh
