Fuerteventura Update!!
Thanks to Dave and Orcilla Hadrick for this!

"Very windy so went to Los Molinos reservoir. Great views of Ruddy Shelduck, Plain Swift, Egyptian Vulture - only miggrant so far a Swallow!Good news, found another great bakery and 5 minutes from the villa on Corralejo road another Egyptian Vulture. We think Derek has a sideline working for the Fuertaventuran Tourist Board sending us all over the island when we've got all the birds within 20 mins of the villa!

PS think we forgot to mention Pallid Swift. Still no Asturian cidra (Andrew please explain to Derek that it's not a bird!)"

Cyprus Update!!
Thanks to David Nixon for this!

"Home again!!

Had a good trip although the number of small birds (Warblers, Flycatchers & Buntings) was very poor this year so our tally of just over 100 species was fewer than expected. Weather was very mixed, just one hot day, otherwise quite overcast with some downpours!
Still, we still managed to find a few good birds over the last 2 days, Masked Shrike, Long-legged Buzzard, Little Bittern, 4 Blue-cheeked Bee-eaters at Phasouri Reedbeds and Red-throated Pipits with stunning 'Black headed' Yellow wagtails. Nice last day find was a Broad-billed Sandpiper with hundreds of Little Stints, some Ruffs and Curlew Sands at Spiro's Pool, Larnaca. Saw Black Francolins most days.

Of course, being a butterfly person, the highlight of the week was a close up of a male Eastern Festoon."

Here's some pictures from rude boy Adolphus James - currently sharing the same cell as Emmanuel Zachariah Zachipam in HMP Maghaberry
