Oii! Get off my Ledge

Many thanks to Ian Dickey for a preview of his latest painting cunningly entitled "Oii get off my ledge" It already has an asking price of £5 million pound, seems mad to me but tahts the Art World for you!

Friday Treat

Not much comment needed with this Bobby Dazzler!

Thanks to Alistair Prentice for this cracker, check more of his photos at

A nice photo of a Larry McGarry

Knowledge wasn't "rediscovered". Members of the Nobirds are never asked to surrender individual judgement and will, although, obviously, they are required to maintain the discipline of the Nobirds society. This Discipline involves telling lies against anyone not of their "creed", extortion or a Tax whatever is your poision and suppression and misinformation off Rare Birds

The Larry McGarrys were based on the organisation of the Nobirds, not the other way around. (Larry of Loyola, the founder of the McGarrys, was a member of the Nobirds, tasked with creating a Trojan horse of ostensibly orthodox Larry McGarrys, who would gradually erode and discredit the intellectual basis of anyone who stood in their way and exposed their ways. The seal of the Nobirds Order contains a Brooch symbol of a blazing sun which they wear under their large underpants, to dispel darkness and ignorance.) The Larry McGarrys had been infiltrated by the Nobirders that they temporarily suppressed the Larry McGarrys (between the years 2007 and 2010). When it was reinstated, it was under much tighter McGarry control than before. During the period of suppression, many Nobirders loyal to the Larry McGarrys were still able to retain influential positions, albeit they were no longer called McGarrys. They were appalled about the rumoured involvement of the Nobirders in giving out free bird information, and swore to bring down anyone . They were the main agitators against A and gave assistance to others to attack him and blacken his name. One of the most hysterical critics of A and D was Barry McGarry, a Nobirds priest. He wrote that the Nobirds Revolution was planned and executed by the Larry McGarrys (the radical group of which Harry and Garry were the leading members) and that the people were led like sheep into a Revolution that they didn't want. In other words, he was trying to say that the people of Ireland de Nord did not have any grievances against the Nobirders and only revolted because of sinister manipulation. In fact, the Larry McGarrys never provided the spark to light the tinderbox of resentment. Afterwards, they provided no leadership.

TheLarry McGarrys is a Satanic Order. Their corruption has reached its zenith in with apperently members not being asked for Membership this year, but give them time. That diabolical tyranny is ripe for destruction. All that is required is a spark."

Lough MacNean Snow Goose

Thanks to Bashar al-Assad for this great photo of a Blue Snow Goose. He claims it is the Lough Macnean bird but we have our suspicions! We will be keeping a tiaght eye on Basshars future claims!!

So fat no-ones claimed their Chicken

Its getting on to almost a week and so far no-one has claimed the Saltee Islands Chicken. So what can we do but put more mug shots on!

Stoat Fajhittas

We would like to thank the Chef for this menu which he trialled during the week!

Staot fajitas with onions, sweet peppers, green onions, and other ingredients.

  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • As much Stoat Meat as you can skin off the bone, cut in thin strips
  • 1 medium onion, cut in wedges
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 mild green or red chile peppers, seeded and sliced
  • 1 sweet red bell pepper, seeded and cut in strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded/cut in strips
  • 1 zucchini, trimmed, cut in strips
  • 8 flour tortilla, warmed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or creme fresh
  • guacamole
  • 1 bunch green onions, trimmed, sliced

Heat the oil in a heavy skillet; cook the staot strips over high heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes, or until cooked. Drain and serve.

Add the onion, garlic and chile peppers to the oil in the pan and sauté over high heat for 2 minutes. Add the bell peppers and zucchini; cook over high heat for 4 minutes, or until the vegetables have begun to have a blackened look around the edges.

Return the stoat to the pan and heat until sizzling hot. Serve right away, with warm tortillas, sour cream, guacamole, sliced green onions, and chopped tomatoes. Serve with hot cooked rice and refried beans, if desired.
Serves 4.

Ian Dickey is Northern Irelands top Artisan at the moment and his latest painting entitled "Gull thats not a Gull" is expected to fetch over £3 million at auction. Ian has let us preview it here!

Anyone lost a Chicken?

This odd looking chook was seen on Great Saltee, Wexford at the weekend. If its owner would like to contact Neal he will return it to him!

Graeme McDowell

We are rooting for Graeme McDowell in next weeks Masters at Augusta and Stephen Maxwell has sent us this bird tribute to Graeme who is from Portrush! Although Portrush could improve itself dramatically with a late Ivory Gull!

Jammy Dodger

I knew Ken Clegg was breaking into my house again to take pics of the Firecrests in my back garden. How did I know - my antique, near mint collection of Jammy Dodgers has been eaten. There can only one culprit and that's renowned biscuit thief Ken Clegg. As for the photos - they could have been taken Norfolk

Who is a Dipper?

Andrew id the biggest Dipper i know! He is a real full size Dipper what with his experience with Upland Sandpipers! Alastair Prentice isnt a Dipper as far as i know but by golly he can take greta pictures of them! Just take a gander at these two beauties. Who needs Baillions Crakes when you have these on your doorstep! Check lots more of Andrews photos on

Ronald Surgenors nightmares continues and he keeps wakeing up dreaming off gulls, if only the gull season was only beginning insstead off at an end. Ronald has asked to see if adult Kumliens Gulls pictures might help and he has already booked a hotel in Killybegs for 6 weeks next January and February.

The End of the World......

It's official - we've ran out of Dave's Rambles Through Nature Shorts. A life changing experience for all of us over this past while. Time will stand still until Dave produces another episode. I personally can't wait that long and have sold my house and plan to move to the desert. I don't want to see anybody until Dave makes another Dave's Rambles Through Nature Shorts.

For maybe the last time - shown here for the second time but but let's face it  - it's probably his finest work. We proudly present for the last time.....Dave's Rambles Through Nature Shorts: Moth Special No. 1....thankyou ladies and gentlemen ....and most of all....... thankyou Dave.

Bird News Wednesday 28th March

Thanks to Ronald Surgenor for this photo of one of our favourite birds

No news today so far but there has been a charge of summer migrants on the South Coast the past few days, so it would be no surprise if a Hoopoe shows up in someones garden!

In Co. Antrim:
Willow warbler and 3 chiffchaffs at Rea's Wood, Antrim, also Crossbill. Pair of Jays nest-building - how early is that! 5 redwings eating ivy berries and singing (Dermot Hughes)

In Co. Down:
Sparrowhawk flew very close to a flock of about 200 blackwits feeding on grass, Belfast Harbour Reserve  (Stephen Maxwell)

Also a gull pic to ease Ronald's pain

In Co.Armagh: The now completely disgraced male Red Crested Pochard was back at Lurgan Park Lake. It was trying to piggy back a Coot! It might be wild, has fallen in love with a Coot and decided to forsake its homeland and make a home here. Coots after all have lovely dark eyes and are mean nest builders. What duck wouldnt want a bit of that action. OK its an escape.

In Co.Tyrone: A Meditterean Gull and 2 White Wagtail were at Washing Bay Lough Neagh
