Bird News Easter Monday

In Co. Antrim:
The subadult drake American Wigeon was still at Portmore Lough RSPB

A Little Egret was between the M2 and the Shore Road, Belfast Lough (Michelle Jamison)

A White Wagtail was at Sandy Bay, Larne, an Iceland Gull and a Mediterranean Gull were at Drains Bay and an Iceland Gull at Islandmagee (Neal Warnock)

In Co. Armagh:
4 Dippers (2 adults, 2 juvenile) were at Clare Glen (Neil McCartney)



In Co. Down:
At Ballyquintin Point 3 short-eared owls and 7 whimbrel (Richard Weyl)

As well as the above at Ballyquintin a Peregrine and 5 Purple Sandpipers were with Turnstone (Keith Bennett)

4 x gadwall and 4 x little grebe on lake at Billy Neill Playing Fields between Dundonald and Comber
1 x singing male blackcap and 1 x chiffchaff ( calling ) on Comber Greenway
1 x massive bumble bee on shag-pile rug, dundonald (Stephen Maxwell)
