Bird News Sunday 15th April

In Co. Antrim:
A Golden Eagle, apparently untagged, was seen over Rathlin Island (N. Warnock)
Neal also seen 25 Willow Warbler, 18 White Wagtail, 4 Wheatear and a Redwing

2 Common Tern were at Portmore Lough

A Black Redstart was near Dunseverick

In Co. Down:
At Ballyquintin Point 2 Short-eared owls, 4 whimbrel, a wheatear, a swallow and a blackcap. A 1st year Mediterranean gull at Cloughy Bay (Richard Weyl)

4 Sandwich Tern were off Murlough Beach (Sam Millar)

The Ring-billed Gull was still at Groomsport (Ferdinand Rafferty)

In Co.Londonderry: 2 Pinkfooted Geese were at Myroe Levels
