Bird News Sunday 22nd April

In beautiful Co. Down:
2 common sandpipers were at Dundrum inner bay south (Dave and Orcilla Hadrick)

2 1st summer Meditterean Gulls  were at Belfast Lough RSPB Reserve

The Ring-billed Gull was still at Groomsport (Stephen Maxwell)


In Co. Londonderry:
The Spotted Redshank was still at the Bann Estuary, as well as a Whimbrel (D. Charles et al)

In Co. Fermanagh:
A Cuckoo was at Derrylin (Malachy Martin)

In Co.Antrim: 2 Swift were at Portmore Lough RSPB Reserve (Davy Hunter)
An Iceland Gull was at Whitehouse Lagoon

Here's Gavin Ferguson's photographs from yesterday because I was too busy working in the local Dundrum Road Sulphur Mine to provide food for my family whilst at the same time feed 119 chickens (not including chick/poults). Have you seen the price of chicken feed lately?? £8.50 a bag - sure I go through a bag a day! Shockin. Wild shockin hey!
