Bird News Sunday 29th April

In Glorious, sunny, nice-smelling Co. Down:
A Red Kite was at Herring Bay, Strangford Lough (Keith Bennett)

The Little Gull was still at the Quoile Pondage

2 Reed Bunting were at Cabra (Ryan Gallagher)

A Garganey was reeported near Comber, time to get the van revved up

At Ballyquintin Point a short-eared owl, 60 whimbrel, 3 white wagtail and 5 red-throated diver. North of Kearney 20 whimbrel and 3 white wagtail. South of Portavogie 10+whimbrel (Richard Weyl)

In Co. Londonderry:
A Golden Eagle was at Altikeeragh (Jeff Larkin)

Whimberals and Swifts were bloody everywhere! Reminds me off a song!

The Ring-billed Gull was still at Groomsport, Co. Down (Stephen Maxwell)
