Over the past 200 years, Red Kite numbers in Britain and Ireland dwindled, largely due to human persecution.  Since 1989, a number of reintroduction projects have begun to restore the red kite to its former range across the UK.
Adam talks about how RSPB NI began a reintroduction in 2008 to bring these majestic birds of prey back to Northern Irish skies.


Belfast Harbour Reserve. The reserve is located within Belfast Harbour Estate. Two main entrances lead into the harbour estate; both are signposted along the A2 (Belfast to Holywood dual carriageway). From the Dee Street entrance the reserve car park is a further two miles; from the Tillysburn entrance it is one mile.
