Bird News Saturday 26th

In Co. Down:
The Green-winged Teal was still at Barr Hall Bay

A 1st winter Yellow-legged Gull and an adult Med Gull were at the Maltings

The Ring-billed Gull was at Groomsport, the hybrid Ring-billed Gull was at Millisle

The 2nd winter Iceland Gull was still at McConnell's Weir, River Lagan (All of the above Mr. Charles)

Along with the GWT an Otter was also present at Barr Hall Bay. At Ballyquintin a Short-eared Owl and Jack Snipe (Richard Weyl)

A Brambling was at a private garden in Spa and another Brambling was at Killyleagh

In Co. Donegal:
At Malin Head - a flock of approx 77 Chough, A flock of approx 1700 Barnacle Geese (Christine Cassidy & fellow club members of the Inishowen Wildlife Club)


In Co. Londonderry:
72 Waxwings feeding on Hedgerow at Old Bridge, Opposite Woodside Heights, Woodside Road, Off the Strabane Old Road Derry, then flew down to Prehen Playing Fields to feed on Berries beside the Foyle Search and Rescue Building, Derry (Christine Cassidy)
