Bird News over the weekend

Waxwings continue to be seen at the same locations they have been present all week. Comber, Lisburn, Armagh and Lurgan all held sizeable flocks.

In Co.Fermanagh: On Saturday a 2ndw Caspian Gull was at Enniskillen Dump. First seen briefly 2 weeks ago better views allowed a firm identifaction to be made. (D.C, W.Veale)
There was no sign of the Snowy Owl although a ring tail Hen Harrier was seen.

In Co.Armagh: The adult Little Gull was still showing very well at Craigavon South Lake.
8 Ruddy Duck were still at Oxford Island.
Two Bewick Swans were at Portmore Lough

In Co.Antrim: 2 adult, 2 2nd winter and a first winter Meditteraan Gulls and two Long Tailed Duck were off Glynn (Neal Warnock)
The Meditterean Gulls are probably returning breeding birds.
