Bird News and Stuff Wednesday 23rd April

Thanks to Ian Dickey for these Black Necked Gwebe pictures, lets hope a new photogenic bird turns up soon! The 2 Rock Pipits below are Ians as well, we dont like them but Ian said it was a two for one deal!

In Co.Down: The Cattle Egret was still at Hillsborough Park Lake (has it ever gone away?)
A Marsh Harrier was between Island Hill and Scrabo
A Glaucous Gull was at Kinnegar Shore

In Co.Armagh / Antrim. The Garganey flock at Portmore Lough has now risen to 3 birds, 2 male and a female (Keith Bennett)

Check this gull Ronald Surgenor found, its new for Ireland!! Its a Black Tailed Ivory Gull. Congratultions Ronald!

Andrew Poots photographed these two birds in his garden, they were obviously looking for some feeders. Only a crazy man would throw out his bird feeders!! The Goldfinch and Siskin are stick thin! Thanks Andrew

A few more photos from abroad, just to try and keep the blog a little interesting!

These are the best thing on the blog, stunning Orchids!
